Roland Mouret back!!

The designer of the much sought after and copied 'galaxy dress' is back and his first show was in Paris yesterday and those who logged on the Net A Porter site at 5:30pm (GMT) were treated to a first look of the collection and an opportunity to pre-order items! In keeping with the 'universe and myths' theme, the collection was called the 'Satellite Collection' and aptly, each piece was also given a related name.

Personally, after having a look at all the other designer couture photos- RM's collection looked very wearable! So... what could top the famed 'galaxy dress'??

Personally, I'm LOVING these pieces:

The Naiad Dress

The detailing at the front makes this very unique, with the tuxedo style collar and draped front design. The open back just completes the look... I have a thing for dresses that show off the back and this is perfect!

The Moon Dress

This could be a contender for the galaxy's crown! Sexy without revealing too much I think its simple understated glamour! Very forties style with again, fine detailing to make it stand out.

The Rhea Dress

This almost reminds me of a sailor type dress with the collar detail contrasting against the white. I agree the origami type folds on the hips may look a little odd as it is on the model, but if you do manage to view the catwalk video on Net A Porter then you can see that these move well with the dress and gives it a fluidity....

Suffice to say, that IF I had the money to buy one of these lovely dresses, I would get the 'naiad' dress.... but hey ho... I can but dream.....
