Things you find in the deepest receeses...

One of the benefits of having lived in the same house since birth is that you hoard things, forget about them and when having a clear out- find a new favourite item!

I was cleaning my cupboard under my stairs and came across my ba
by pink suede shoes from Oasis that I bought when I was 15! How cute are they!!! And to top it all- they still fit me :)

My mum's genuine vintage Sonia Rykiel leather bag!

Next week, we're clearing out the garage- no doubt I'll find a lot more gems hidden there!!!

Victoria and Albert Museum

On Saturday, I went to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum on Saturday with my friend. I love the museum and it was nice to go there rather than frantically shopping in the sales like I did last weekend!

The New York fashion NOW exhibition was still up and I know its been up for a while, but like i said, I haven't gotten around to going to see it until last weekend!

I did manage to take a few pictures but because of the glass, I couldn't use the flash and so some images came out very yellow! I took images of items and details that I found interesting...

This coloured macaroni dress is very unique made by Christian Joy. The pics above are what I took and below is taken from the website- what its meant to look like in reality!

With the colours and the way the dress is put together, it reminds me of an African tribal dress.

Again by Christian Joy, I thought this 'money' dress was really cute!

This 'body' dress (again, Christian Joy) looks like a biology project gone a bit awry!

Now to more wearable- everyday fashion! Behnaz Sarafpour has a more lady like quality and I love this 'prim and proper' outfit! I love the detail of the pleating on the skirt.

I love the back of this gorgeous Zac Posen dress:

And also the back of this Jean Yu dress

I forgot who the designer of this top is. I just love it!

Exahusted,,, but happy!

THE TOPSHOP CHARITY SALE!

Well.... the day came and went in the blink of an eye! I can't believe how time went so quickly today! My Dad generously drove us up to Hanover Square this morning with the car packed to the brim full of clothes to sell!!! We got there early- around 8:45 so we were waiting around for the Topshop people to finish setting up the stalls. It wasn't at all what I expected- I thought it was going to be like some car boot sale or something in the open air, but it wasn't- it was all self contained and undercover, so even if there was rain (which there was!) we would all be protected.

Radha waiting to set up the stall with all the bags and bags and suitcases of clothes!!!!

I don't think I realised how many things people had donated until I started taking them all out and stuck price tags on them all! I wanted to take a picture of the stall after we had done it up etc, but due to the amount of things we had, we were pricing throughout the whole day, so we didn't actually have out perfectly laid out stall that we wanted! Also, as we had soooooooooooo many items, topshop were generous and let us spread ourselves over 2 stalls!

Me doing the pricing

We sold most of the items I featured on the blog and one of my highlights of the day was when this funky guy bought this faux fur jacket from us it looked good on him, so I asked if I could take his pic:

Another highlight was when a pretty girl bought one of our dresses and said she was going to a wedding and that the dress would be ideal. I gave her a 'wings' card that I made for the stall and told her to take a picture of herself and to e-mail me and her picture would be on my blog. She looked at the website address and told me that she'd heard of me! That's so great!!! Whoever you are... please continue to visit the site and don't forget to e-mail me a pic!

After the hectic day we found out how much we raised- overall, the whole event raised over £6000 but out stall raised the most out of all the stalls- with a massive £736!!! My Thanks to the organisers- Topshop, the people who donated the clothes and of course those who showed up and bought something!!!

If you bought something from the sale- it doesn't even have to be from my stall, send me a pic (my e-mail is on the top left hand side) and you can feature on my blog!!! My stall was number 13 so if you see a 13 on your price tag- don't forget, you can feature on my blog!!!

Preparing for the Sale...

It's hard work preparing for this sale tomorrow... I think I've got most of it packed and in the car- ready to go tomorrow morning. But there are still some items that are just sitting there waiting for me to get off my backside and put them in bags!!!

I have a few more items for you to try and tempt people to my stall:

Loads and loads of belts, ties and scarves... all at £1 each!!!

This vintage dress was donated by a work colleague- so nautical and really cute too!

I love this beige crochet dress- in fact if it doesn't sell- I'm going to buy it myself!

Cute little brown shorts- great for summer!

Adorable little crop velour jacket- ideal cover up for nights out.

Gorgeous Indian embroidered belt.

Topshop Charity Sale....CHIC Wings

I'm really excited about the Topshop Charity sale on Saturday. I am getting a lot of clothes from my colleagues which is great as I know the stall will be packed full of goodies for you guys to buy.

Unfortunately due to Topshop rules, we aren't allowed to put up our own banners or posters advertising our site directly so I can't put up posters of wings as I would have liked to- just to distinguish us from the competition but I have posted on the site: News and I have been making our very own price tags in the shape of wings! They will have the size of the garment and the price and of course my blog address for those of you who want to be sure that its me selling!!

We may even sneak in a few wings posters around the stall discreetly so come and visit! Majority of items are NEW but we do have some vintage clothes donated and also loads of accessories!

Our stall will be called CHIC... so don't forget!!! hehehe

UPDATE...

Sorry not updated as regularly as normal, but I've been busy every evening- sorting out all the donated items for the Charity Sale. I'm getting quite excited about it as lots of people have said that they will be turning up and we have been given a lot of interesting items that we know will sell out straight away!!!

New update regarding the Charity Sale... someone from work has donated some NEW branded goods! I haven't rummaged through all the bags yet, but I have seen some NEW Levi's and Firetrap jeans! People have also donated some Diesel, 55DSL, Zakee Shariff, Yo Japan and Lipsy.

There's loads of summer wear- kaftans, strappy tops, little dresses and mini skirts, so if you're going on holiday soon- come and pick up a bargain!!!

Here are a few more things that will be on the stall...

Retro t-shirts:New Branded Jeans:

Other Branded items:

NEW Abercrombie & Fitch!!!

More photos of stuff will be posted when I manage to filter through everything! People at work have been so generous that my friend and I still have a few large bags of stuff to sift through and bring home!

TOPSHOP CHARITY FASHION SALE

Seeing as I did have a clearout of my clothes a few weeks ago- I saw an advert for the
Topshop Charity Sale and I was intrigued... you could either host a sale yourself- which you would organise, or you could apply to have a stall at one of the 4 Market events going on in London, Manchester, Brighton and York. I applied for a stall and this morning I was glad to hear that I now officially have a stall....

As well as some used clothes, vintage clothes, new clothes that I bought in sales and never worn and clothes donated by friends, colleagues and family I will also be making a few earrings to sell on the stall...

I'm really excited! After being away from the retail shop floor for over a year now... I have found that I do miss it! Maybe not the difficult customers and those that are just stupid e.g. those that come back after 3 years for a refund/ exchange because they haven't polished their chain and the silver has reacted making it a dark colour!

A few items I'll have on my stall are below... There will be a lot more as I'm asking colleagues, friends and family to pitch in!

Light Cream cotton jacket. 'Yo Japan' 3/4 length dark denim jeans (with tag). H&M red skirt. Supre chrysanthemum print, mint green, ruffle dress.

Anyone who's in London on the 23rd JUNE please pop into Hanover Square:
