History repeating itself

I was at the LCF (London College of Fashion) last night doing some research, when I came across a few books looking back on past fashions....


The dress on the left is what I saw in a book about the styles of the 1960s/ 1970s and the dress on the right is a dress that comes from a shop called 'Miss Selfridge' (for those of you who don't live in the UK, 'Miss Selfridge' is a shop for young trendy ladies ware which belongs to a large company called Arcadia which includes 'Topshop')

Personally, I adore looking at the past and taking elements of previous trends and adapting them to meet the needs of today's fashions.
