I went for tea for two at the Ritz over the weekend. I'd stayed at the Ritz in Singapore before but never actually visited the London Ritz.
Firstly, there are mirrors EVERYWHERE giving you the illusion that the space is actually bigger than it is. Also, it gives you a good opportunity to examine your own reflection to see that your hair etc is all in place!
I think the one word to describe the place is sumptuous. I could imagine being dressed in a vintage gown with lots of ruffles and bows perhaps with a bustle on the back!!
