Images of tuxedo dressing for ladies is looking to be a trend next season. Classic tuxedo tailoring is reworked into cropped and cutaway jackets, sexy satin-lapel vests and deconstructed tux-style shirt dresses. Fitted-to-the-body tuxedo jackets and bow ties are paired with denim for an updated “Le smoking” look.
The tuxedo coat dress is a sophisticated update to party dressing. However, for those who think its a bit too much then take subtle items from the look to update yours! The bow tie is a key item. I have seen bow-ties at Hurwundeki and I predict that we will all be wearing bow necklaces.... here are a couple I've found online:
Alternatively mix cummerbunds with high-waist jeans for an elevated casual style, as seen at Acne Jeans for spring/summer 2008. With the trend for waisted belts and high waisted trousers seemingly carrying on through the season, the cummerbund is perfect, as seen below:
